Las Vegas – The Paris

It’s that time of year again. Time for our annual Vegas trip with John’s company. This time we are staying at the Paris. John and I have stayed here before, but never with the group.

The Paris is one of the smaller hotels on the Strip, but it is very nice, and unlike the last time we stayed here, the staff is very friendly. It is also home to one of John and my favourite restaurants: Mon Ami Gabi.

Anyway, we left Calgary around 7 on Sunday night and arrived at the Paris around 10:30pm. Due to weather, our flight was actually quite turbulent for the first hour. So turbulent that the flight attendants all had to remain seated, not my favourite way to fly, but after an hour things smoothed out.

Vegas was very warm when we arrived, actually they were apparently having record highs for the week, so we were happily greeted by warm air when we got out of the airport. At the Paris, we were lucky enough to get a room with a nice strip view. Have a look:

Pretty sweet, hey? It was nice to be able to see the Bellagio water show too, but it was quite noisy, even from 26 floors up. Luckily they don’t put in on all through the night. Here are a couple daytime view pics too:

Check out our room:

Pretty nice, right? I really liked it. The only problem I had with it, was that one night (Tuesday) I could hear the music from one of the clubs outside and it kept me up all night, but only on Tuesday, so I guess that’s not too bad. Sorry I don’t really have any other pictures of the Paris to show you, except I did take a picture in the main bathroom near the check in desk as I thought it was really pretty.

Wow, nice view! And gorgeous room too!

Kira has been asking about her Auntie Heather, maybe we can get together for a visit soon? She has some infinity discs for you
